Freestyle IT – This is a fun early years private lesson getting children from 5-8 years dancing.
Set to popular music, Freestyle IT classes focus on building basic dance movement and social skills. This is in preparation for more advanced classes from 8 years of age. It includes elements of freestyle, street and cheer into energetic routines. It is our entry level Freestyle lesson and is available on a private basis only at this time. Each lesson features contemporary music, simple routines and great technique building. Students are welcome to take the lesson as an individual or as part of a duo or trio. Group lessons are available upon request and the cost may reduce for groups.
Each lesson will feature:
- an age specific warm up
- solo work
- team routine
This class is essentially all about having fun!
Product gives you entry for one person to a private lesson in Freestyle at St Martin’s Parish Centre. This is subject to room availability, and there may be an additional charge for a different venue. Students can either wear our uniform, or wear a comfy t-shirt and leggings – all we ask is no logos from other schools. Comfortable, flexible footwear should also be worn – we can not teach bare foot – for this class we would advise on jazz shoes or similar.
You may also choose to enter your child for IDTA Rosette awards, but these are not compulsory. You can also collect rosettes across our early years classes (ballroom/latin, freestyle, musical theatre), and your child receives a banner to put them on with their first Rosette award.
